Summary:
The individual in the role of Sr. Sales Account Manager will be expected to expand sales and marketing activities of Cevians successful Optical Product and Display BU.
In working closely with Product Managers, you will lead every aspect of the sales process from prospection, go-to-market strategies to customer relationship management for Cevians worldwide. It is expected that the Sr. Sales Account Manager increases Cevians presence in existing market promoting new products but also focus on aggressively developing new markets and new customers in accordance with the BU strategic vision. You will have the responsibility of the sales activities, from strategic to tactical functions. The current organization has customer service representatives serving well-established accounts under the leadership of Program Management Office.
Responsibilities:
In collaboration with BU Product Managers, Business Development Directors, the Sr. Sales Account Manager is responsible for defining and sales strategy to achieve Cevians long term objectives. This includes identifying, target and capture opportunities for new customers. You will qualify opportunities, maintain your opportunity funnel, introduce Cevians to new customers, make presentations, attend trade shows and provide a voice of the customer to the Product Managers. It also is expected that you directly perform business development and sales activities as a direct key contributor of Cevians BD and sales organization with direct customer interaction.
Specific responsibilities in collaboration with the product manager include:
- Identify potential customers, establish contacts
- Introduce the company to customers, be an ambassador of the brand
- Assess customer potential, capabilities and needs
- Qualify opportunities by understanding customer organization, budget, timeline and requirements
- Develop plan for customer visits and trade show participation
- Perform product and company presentations at customers locations. Group will include buyers, program managers, engineers and quality representatives
- Prepare trip and visit reports
- Develop business capture and revenue forecasts
Professional Requirements:
The Sr. Sales Account Manager is expected to bring proven leadership success developing and capturing new business in a technical environment and custom solutions. The candidate will possess both a very dynamic, outgoing personality and a sharp analytical thinking ability. Experience in high value niche market segments is preferable where custom solutions and capabilities are sold over standard products. The candidate shall demonstrate the ability to learn quickly.
The ability to operate in a highly multiplexed environment with high level of uncertainty is essential. A solid technical foundation, normally acquired by a technical degree and years of product development, is a definite advantage.

- 15+ years of experience in a similar role
- Proven success in developing and applying structured processes to sales and marketing. Highly data driven.
