Account Manager, Technical Sales will be responsible for developing growth at Cevians existing customers in its Optical Products Business Units in Aerospace and Defense. The function requires managing strategic relationships and identifying business opportunities at well-established accounts from OEM to Tier 3 customers.  The individual is expected to apply technical knowledge and business skills to introduce customers to new products and technologies, refine business strategies and expand Cevians technical and commercial positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen existing relationship at existing accounts across north America.
  • Increase customer’s organizations knowledge of Cevians products and capabilities.
  • Assess Cevians commercial and technical position and quantify/qualify growth opportunities.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in support of Cevians growth objectives.
  • Develop well-organized business capture plans and recommend product and business strategy.
  • Lead customer contract negotiations and coordinate other internal resources as necessary.
  • Develop and present detailed product presentations tailored to customers.
  • Visit customers on a regular basis.
  • Forecast anticipated bookings and sales.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or marketing discipline.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of technical sales or marketing experience and/or 3+ years Avionics/Defense experience.
  • Proven ability to grow business.
  • Knowledge of Night Vision technologies and other optical components associated to Avionics instruments is a definite asset.
  • Possess a strong business acumen.
  • Must be an articulate and fluent communicator, verbal and written and at ease with public speaking.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, accurate, and possess the ability to work quickly.
  • Strong time management skills/ability to multi-task numerous projects.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
  • Ability to travel within US and Canada approximately 50% of the time.
